The British public has voiced its concerns to the Royal Family in the wake of a contentious ‘edited’ photograph featuring the Princess of Wales and her children.

Amidst speculations regarding her absence, Kate Middleton sought to dispel rumors with a Mother’s Day photo opportunity.

The endearing picture depicted the Princess of Wales seated with her three children – George, Charlotte, and Louis. Alongside the image, a message conveyed gratitude: “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. C.”

Yet, keen-eyed social media users detected editing discrepancies in the photo, sparking skepticism and theories, some placing blame on the Royal Family.

Tensions escalated when various international picture agencies issued a ‘kill notification’ due to perceived manipulation of the photograph.

Acknowledging the alterations, Kate confessed to the photo adjustments in a statement posted on social media on March 11: “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C.”

In response, Britons are urging for transparency.

Piers Morgan spearheaded the call, urging the Royal Family to release the unedited version of the photo without delay. He tweeted: “The Palace should release the unedited photo of Kate & the kids asap. If it’s just a small bit of harmless retouching gone wrong, nobody will care. If they don’t release the original pic, the conspiracy theories they were trying to kill, will get way worse..”

The Princess of Wales had been absent from Royal duties and public view for several weeks, fueling various conspiracy theories regarding her whereabouts.

Kate underwent a planned operation at the London Clinic on January 16 and returned home to Windsor on January 29. Speculations regarding her absence ensued, prompting Kensington Palace to denounce the ‘madness of social media’.

A statement from Kate’s representatives affirmed the success of her abdominal surgery and anticipated her recovery at home following a hospital stay of up to two weeks.
